- The authorities have also released the list of CAT 2022 Toppers. A total of 11 canddiates have scored an overall 100 per cent in CAT 2022.
- CAT 2022 Qualifying Cutoff and Admission Criteria was already released by 13 IIMs.
- A total of 2,22,218 candidates appeared for the CAT out of 2,55,501 who registered for the exam.

What is CAT?
Common Admission Test or CAT is a national-level test conducted in India to admit students to MBA/ PGDM courses in different IIMs and other top management colleges accepting CAT scores. The examination is conducted by one of the 20 IIMs every year.
CAT 2022: What’s New
IIM Bangalore will be conduting CAT 2022 exam.
- CAT 2022 Fees have also been increased from INR 2200 to INR 2300 for general and OBC category candidates and from INR 1100 to INR 1150 for other reserved category candidates.
- CAT 2022 will be conducted in 150 test cities.

CAT 2022: Eligibility
To apply for CAT 2022, aspirants must fulfil the below mentioned CAT 2022 eligibility criteria.
- Aspiring candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized university or institution.
- Candidates in the last year of their bachelor's degree are also eligible for CAT 2022.
- The candidates must have secured at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in the qualifying degrees.
- Students will not face any age limit or attempt limit in CAT 2022.
- Candidates with professional degrees including CA/CS/ICWA can also apply for CAT 2022.
- CAT exam can be attempted any number of times, there is no limit on that.
CAT 2022 Application Form
CAT 2022 registration has been started, students need to visit the official website of CAT 2022 to register themselves and fill up the application form. Aspirants must be aware of the steps to fill out the application form. The stepwise CAT 2022 application process is mentioned below.
CAT 2022 Registration Process
Before filling up the CAT 2022 application form, students need the first register to generate a User ID and Password on CAT 2022 official website. The steps to register for CAT 2022 are mentioned below.
- Students need to first visit the official website of CAT 2022 and click on the “Register” link and register as a new candidate.
- Then, candidates need to enter their personal details including Name, Contact Number, Email, DOB etc. and then click on the “Submit” tab to generate a User ID and password.
- The newly generated User ID and Password will be sent to the contact details provided at the time of registration.
Steps to Fill CAT 2022 Application Form
After registration, students need to login using the User ID and Password received at the time of registration. After that, students need to fill in the below-mentioned details in the CAT 2022 application form.
- The aspirants need to fill in the personal details in CAT 2022 application form. The personal details include DOB, Gender, category, nationality, address, contact details, etc.
- The next details that students need to provide in CAT 2022 application form are the academic details. The academic details include class 10th marks, class 12th marks, qualifying degree scores, etc.
- After that, candidates need to fill in the work experience details (optional).
- Students also need to choose the course preferences, the institute they wish to apply for and the city for the interview.
- Then, students need to choose the maximum 6 exam cities for CAT 2022 keeping in view the time for travel and distance.
Upload Documents
After filling all the details in CAT 2022 application form, students need to upload the below-mentioned documents with the required specifications.
- Students need to upload a photograph that must not be older than 6 months. The photograph must be uploaded in .jpg/ .jpeg format and must be less than or equal to 80kb in size.
- Students also need to provide a signature done on white paper with black ink only. The signature must not exceed 80kb in size in .jpg/ jpeg format and must have dimensions 80mm × 35mm.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to upload a scanned copy of the reserved category certificate in PDF format and the size of the document must not exceed 200kb.
- For the Pwd certificate, students need to download the PwD certificate form from the official website of CAT 2022, fill in the details and upload the document as a pdf file of less than or equal to 200kb in size.
CAT 2022 Registration Fee Payment
After uploading the documents, the last step is to pay the CAT 2022 application fee Which has been revised this year. The fee payment is to be done online using a debit card, credit card, UPI, net banking etc. The category wise amount for CAT 2022 Application fee is tabulated below.
